Kodak carousel 35mm slide projector on custom-built plinth (115cm high), single slide with the words ‘YOU’RE NEXT’.

Positioned in the gallery/exhibition entrance, the monocular stare of the projector confronts the visitor with the image focused approximately at 70cm: investigation, play or chance encounter reveals the image.

We live in coded spaces – spaces such as airport terminals whose architecture only makes sense within the algorithm that enables people to negotiate through them. We live in the machine.
